Who are we?
Machteld, Peter en Suus
We are Machteld and Peter. We, together with our sweet dog Suus, came to live in beautiful and peaceful Bergen in the fall of 2017. Because we also rented apartments in Amsterdam, we wanted to continue this in Bergen.
With the purchase of the house and apartment-complex “De Oase” (formerly called Pension “De Nachtegaal”), we succeeded. After a thorough renovation of the apartments and the courtyard, we opened in April 2018 as “Boutique Apartments Bergen”. And …… with all very nice guests as a result!
We welcome guests who are looking for a relaxing stay. Keep in mind that this is a quiet area, and we would like to keep it that way.
Our goal is to offer you the most comfortable stay possible. We would like to hear from you if there are special wishes or if you have any questions.

You can book an apartment with us through Airbnb or through HomeAway. The advantage is that you book through a reliable platform.
You can park your car for free in our quiet, dead end, street. We also have a bicycle rack at the house.
Each apartment has a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. In addition, an open kitchen with 4 burners, pans, plates, cups, glasses, etc.
The courtyard gives access to the laundry room where (against payment) you can use a washer and dryer.
No, pets are not allowed. We own a dog, Suus, and she is very skittish for other animals.
The apartments are located in a separate building behind our house. So you have complete privacy and even a private terrace. Of course you are always welcome if you have questions!
